One of the best gifts you can ever give is simply your time. Over the Labor Day weekend our Heartland family in DuQuoin, Illinois sacrificed their time and participated in the Special Olympics Duck Derby at the DuQuoin State Fair. For this event to be successful, it required all hands on deck. Not only were our Heartland employees involved, but they also had their families come out and participate in the festivities. The Special Olympics sold 8,000 ducks for $5 each. At the end of the day each team had to “fish” all of these ducks out of the lake. Not only was the event a lot of fun for everyone involved, but without a doubt, a weekend well spent.
