In the heart of our Kansas City Hometown warehouse, Ireaka Brown is a name that resonates with dedication, determination, and trailblazing success. As a ten-year veteran of Heartland Coca-Cola and an Order Builder by trade, Ireaka’s journey reached an inspiring new peak this fall when she won the Electric Pallet Jack Competition at the 3rd Annual Midwest Bottlers Skills Competition—making history as the only woman to compete in the finals and clinch the victory.
The competition was fierce, with associates from Heartland and Viking Coca-Cola, Chesterman Coca-Cola, Ozarks Coca-Cola, and Atlantic Coca-Cola all vying for the top spot. Yet, Ireaka’s moment of triumph was unmistakable. “After I finished my course and stepped off the electric pallet jack, I could feel I won,” she recalled confidently.
Her preparation didn’t involve special training or unique strategies—it was her consistent hard work and belief in herself that set her apart. “I just work hard every day, and I told myself and a few coworkers this was my year to come in first place,” she said.
Winning was a personal accomplishment and a milestone for representation and diversity. “It means a lot to me to represent all the women in the warehouse and show what we can do,” Ireaka said. As the only woman competing in the finale, her victory sends a powerful message about breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible.
When asked what drives her, Ireaka’s response speaks to her competitive spirit and unwavering resolve: “Wanting to be number one and be the best is what drives me every year.” That drive has translated into a stellar career where she thrives on every aspect of her job. “I’m a very strong individual, and I believe I can do anything I put my mind to,” she said.
Her story is a testament to the power of determination, representation, and embracing challenges. Ireaka Brown has shown that the possibilities are endless with hard work and a belief in oneself.
Congratulations, Ireaka, on your well-deserved victory and for inspiring us all!
