Black History Month is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the contributions and achievements of black people while also acknowledging the history of the black experience in America and how it continues to impact society today. Our Heartland territory is home to some of the most prominent black historical figures and events. Each week during Black History Month, we shared some of our favorite black history facts from right here in the Heartland.
