Through our partnership with The University of Kansas Health System, we are proud to sponsor their General Educational Development (GED) program. The initiative provides Health System employees the opportunity to obtain their GED diploma while continuing to work full time. Heartland Coca-Cola donates $1 per case for each case sold at the University of Kansas Health System through its retail outlets. This program amounts to approximately $25,000 a year. Thus far, through our financial support of this program, we have assisted 11 individuals in obtaining their GED. Recently we celebrated last year’s graduating class through a virtual ceremony. Congratulations to all the graduates on all their hard work and perseverance!
