In June our Heartland family in St. Louis was lucky enough to sponsor MDA Camp in Fredericktown, MO. MDA camp is a summer camp where kids with muscular dystrophy and related diseases can live beyond limits. For a lot of these kids, this week is the highlight of their entire summer. For seven days they aren’t defined by their disease but instead allowed to focus on having fun and making memories that will last a lifetime. It was truly humbling for our associates to see firsthand the impact and difference this week makes in the lives of these kids. Living with muscular dystrophy has its challenges, but MDA camp is a safe haven.
